Now, home to over 300,000 people, Vaughan is one of the fastest growing neighborhoods in the GTA. Vaughan is the 5th largest city in the GTA and the 17th largest in all of Canada.
Vaughan become a city of Canada in 1991 at the intersection of Highways 400 and 407. This town is made up of five local communities; including Woodbridge and Kleinburg (West of Highway 400), Maple and Thornhill (East of Highway 400), and Concord (which consists of mainly commercial land).
The Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station (VMC) is a major hub in the GTA and the Canadian community at large. You can easily get to and from Vaughan through the VMC via the York Region Transit (YRT), Brampton Transit buses, and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).
Vaughan is also home to Canada's Wonderland, the first and largest Amusement Park in Canada, and Vaughan Mills, the largest retail shopping center in Ontario.
